Review of Wild Strawberries (2012) by Rod A — 24 Jul 2008
I First watched this film in Bobst Library when I was 18. Back then, I knew it was important and I understood it intellectually. Seeing it now (twenty years later), it works on me at so many more levels.
Father Isak's life is full of so many missed opportunites, yet this journey he takes with his dauther-in-law seems like one more chance to get things right. This film is full of melancholy and innocence.
