Review of Wild Strawberries (2012) by Kyle M — 08 Oct 2014
People complain about how Bergman always makes the same kind of film, with dreary settings and hopeless characters. I would recommend this film because it's a simple portrait of a man looking back on his life with some regrets and what-if questions, as he approaches his impending end.
The life and vigor that the younger characters have bring a lot of joy to the professor and the film, giving an impression of some hope.
