For a popcorn munching-type person, this movie is a two tops and not universally appealing. If you are a film student, taking into account a famous filmmaker created it and the factors involved in the art of film making at the time, it's a five.

As a psychology/anthropology student, it is interesting to follow an old man's blind-self becoming visible, in a cultural context.
