Review of Wild Strawberries (2012) by Zack M — 17 May 2011
Strikingly emotional and optimistic, Wild Strawberries stands as Bergman's concise masterpiece. In addition to utilizing every single character in the film for a specific facet of the main character's contemplation.
Visually, the film is stunning, especially when representations of Sweden's technical modernity, such as spotless new highways and shiny new cars, are subtly highlit. The beauty of both the infrastructure and natural landscapes shown reinforce what is ultimately an positive story.
