Review of Wild (2014) by Cyruss R — 10 Feb 2015
Wild is the perfect film for director Jean-Marc Vallee. Introspective and hovering between the conscious and unconscious, there is an element of the surreal as Cheryl Strayed hikes along the Pacific Coast Trail to come to terms with where her life has brought her.
It takes a special kind of filmmaker to make a film about a woman walking and turn it into an inspiring journey of self discovery and Vallee has done just that.
