God this is depressing. I like things involving self development and physical journeys but give this a miss. The main character is wholly unprepared for the trek which is dangerous and a bit stupid although that goes for the rest of her life too.
The pace is the same throughout and just goes back and forth from the walk to her past memories or parts of memories.
