Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Chris S — 06 Dec 2008
This is a film that shows us a night in the life of a couple with self-destructive behavior as they invite an innocent and young couple to their home and unashamedly show their intolerance and hatred towards each other.
Their feelings about each other are told, secrets are revealed, and verbal abuse is inevitable. This is one of the earliest films to have some profanity and blasphemy in it. I would have absolutely loved this film more if it weren't for the pretentious ending.
