Review of White Heat (1949) by Alister N — 10 Sep 2007
A fitting kiss-off to the tradition of Warner Bros' gangster pictures of the 30's, with James Cagney giving a vivid portrayal as the unhinged Cody Jarrett. An excellent and well-scripted narrative that plays the tension well while giving juicy dialogue to Cagney.
A classic crime picture.
