Review of White Heat (1949) by Kevin M — 11 Nov 2010
Cagneys finest role, the menacing Cody Jarrett slips into some mother lovin' insanity and proceeds to kill alot of innocent by-standers and goddamn G-Men on the way. Throw in some casual wife beating and a large gas container mounted by an armed maniac and you have perhaps the finest finale in early cinema.
Top of the world indeed...
