Review of White Heat (1949) by David L — 19 Feb 2014
It is not as engaging or fast-paced as it should have been and it takes its time to get there, but White Heat is in the end a very good gangster film thanks to phenomenal performance from James Cagney and his character which is nicely developed and always interesting.
The film also has exciting car chase sequences, superb ending scene and some memorable lines. All in all, it is flawed, but nonetheless one of the better and most memorable gangster films.
