Review of White God (2014) by Kevin M — 16 Oct 2015
A film with a premise this silly either cannot take itself seriously -- which, unfortunately, this sober movie does -- or has to dazzle its viewers with masterful set pieces --which this movie never does.
Add to that the script's banal dialogue and one-dimensional secondary characters, and you're left with a film who's only virtues are convincing performances from its (human and canine) leads and a memorable and gorgeous final camera shot that at least made sitting through this silliness not a complete loss.
