Review of White Dog (1982) by Stephanie L — 17 Feb 2008
What's a white dog? A dog that's been trained to attack black people. It's also a movie made by Samuel Fuller (director of the weird and wonderful Shock Corridor) where the ugly embodiment of racism is front and centre through the whole film in the familiar form of a family pet.
The white dog is a good dog, until he sees a black face; then he's crazed with hate and the desire to kill. Clearly illustrates the illogical and immoral nature of racism and how it's a learned behaviour.
