Review of White Dog (1982) by Alex A — 08 Sep 2018

Hats off to the screenwriter for pulling off genuine character development for a dog. The concept itself is unique which by default makes the film an intriguing watch.

Paul Winfield was excellent here, some shots like the dog viciously running towards someone in slow motion are visually breathtaking, and the film is leisurely paced. The ending is a downer, but I like how it didn't go the happily-ever-after route and instead took a more realistic and grim approach. My only gripes, really, are some rushed plot points.

I recommend it regardless.
