Review of White Dog (1982) by Peter P — 23 Nov 2010
A woman (Kristy McNichol) hits a dog late one night. She takes it to the vet to make sure everything is okay and decides to keep it with her until she finds the owners. One night she almost gets raped but the dog protects her. She falls in love with the dog but soon discovers that the dog has been trained to attack black people. She does what she can to cure the dog.
This is a very good genre picture. Sure it's got some moments in it but the concept behind it, trying to train the racism out of a dog made the movie compelling.
