Review of White Christmas (1954) by Molly M — 26 Dec 2007
I never get tired of watching this, not matter the time of the year. Danny Kaye is one of the all-time great comedians, and a good dancer to boot. Speaking of which, the music and dancing are both hardly matched by the movies of today.
Crosby's velvety voice, caressing every note, has yet to be challenged as well. Rosemary Clooney's and Vera-Ellen's strong characters are surprising and refreshing without coming on too strong, and it makes them all the more appealing.
I'll always love this classic not just of Christmas, but of cinema as a whole.
