Review of White Christmas (1954) by Sums I — 17 Dec 2011
It's a Christmas classic with heart, humor and happiness. The musical numbers are the best part of the film, with a variety of styles and dances... filled with great choreography and songs. True the plot device of miscommunication feels a bit trite, but its hard not to be drawn in by Bing Crosby and the goofy Danny Kaye.
I watched it the first time in 2011, so it wasn't nostalgia that factored in... other than perhaps a wish for simpler times when people treated each other better and burst into song to express their true selves.
