White Chicks is dumb but fun. I loved this movie when I was like 15! OK you can't really take this film seriously but it has some really great moments and funny lines. White Chicks is about two FBI agents and brothers, Kevin Copeland (Shawn Wayans) and Marcus (Marlon Wayans) who aren't very successful at their job and land in trouble with their boss when they catch the wrong guy. However they're assigned to a new case, to protect two spoilt heiresses, Brittany and Tiffany Wilson who are involved in a secret kidnap plot. Kevin and Marcus decide to take things into their own hands and dress up as the sisters. I have to say that it's the most unconvincing disguised ever! The Wayans brothers look like guys in drag! How people can even mistake them for the real Wilson sisters is more questionable?! They look nothing alike! This film should win an award for most unconvincing disguise. Even Mrs Doubtfire does a more convincing job!

Anyhow I don't think I've seen many films that are so bad that they're actually good! White Chicks is really funny with some great scenes and lines! My favourite character in the film has to be Latrell Spencer (Terry Crews), a famous sports star who take a liking to Marcus! Terry Crews is just hilarious! Gotta love the man! Guys could definitely learn something from this film. As Kevin and Marcus have to bond with females as part of keeping up their disguise (they have to hang out with the real Brittany and Tiffany's friends, who still don't bat an eyelid as to the girls rather shall I say largely different change in appearance). Kevin and Marcus are forced to go shopping and partake in girly talk and sing along to "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton. The funniest bit is when Latrell starts singing it.

White Chicks is also so stereotypical of rich spoilt Californian girls whose idea of trauma is a broken nail and gaining a pound. The classic line is when the really Brittany and Tiffany are "OMG I'm so going to have a bitch fit!" Also Kevin and Marcus come into competition with bitchy and unpleasant twins Megan and Heather (Brittany Daniel and Jaime King) who are constantly trying to out-do Brittany and Tiffany and play mean tricks on them. The typical bratty LA girls stereotype makes the film dumber but funny at the same time. It's kind of like highschool without actually being set in highschool. Also I don't know if the film is meant to be mocking the rich Beverly Hills 90210 girls type of culture.

Although you can't really take this movie seriously, it's a lot of fun! I just have fond memories of this film! There are some really hilarious moments and snappy lines. Shame the film is so unbelievable though. I still recommend it though; it's a fun film that appeals to both genders. I don't think anyone can really take the Wayan brothers seriously, but they're movies are meant to be fun parodies which shouldn't be taken seriously.

Grade: C+.
