Review of Whisky Galore! (1949) by Dave H — 19 Jul 2007
Based on a true story (the sinking of the SS Politician which was renamed SS Cabinet Minister in the movie), this charming movie shows the resourcefulness of the 'west coasters' in Scotland in hiding the cargo from a jobsworth army captain.
Wish the title could be correctly spelled in this review though ... WHISKY GALORE not WhiskEy.
