Review of Whisky Galore! (1949) by Tibor B — 12 Feb 2010
Fun Ealing comedy about a shipwreck of whiskey off a remote scottish island and the comic battle to get it between Basil Radford's Home Guard captain acting on behalf of the customs and the booze-deprived locals.
Not as laugh out loud as some other Ealing pics, but its warm hearted and the island scenery gives a good atmosphere.
