Review of Where the Wild Things Are (2009) by Professor S — 04 Sep 2011
The pacing may be inconsistent, and the story bare, but the film's charisma is undeniable. Adroitly handling the darker side of childhood, and always finding exactly the right emotion, Where the Wild Things Are commendably opts for hard to digest thoughtfulness instead of cashing in on a nice and easy, sugar coated, 3-D adaption of a classic.
