Review of What Time Is It There? (2001) by Eduardo D — 02 Dec 2007
Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love with girl. Girl flies to Paris. Boy starts changing all the clocks in Taiwan to Paris time. Meditates - - -almost literally, if you know about Liang's immersive loooong takes - - - on time and distance and loss and our perpetual longing for connection , not to mention the wistful (im)possibilities of long distance relationships and evokes ,with its rhymelike phrasing, Jacques Tati, of all people .
