Review of What a Way to Go! (1964) by Sean D — 12 Jan 2009
Not great, but sorta enjoyable 60's flick with MANY big names of the time. Decent acting and OK plot; I guess what killed it for me is that I just don't get Shirley MacLaine. In this, she's supposed to be this desirable woman (after all, she finds 5 or 6 husbands in this), but to me she just seems so.
..um, plain. Yeah. She's made a bunch of movies, but I have yet to see one that's actually really good (and before you reply, "The Apartment" wasn't that great). Paul Newman is excellent in this, as are most of the husbands.
Worth a look.
