[color=#000000][font=Times New Roman][size=4] While I watched this film I tried to keep in mind the era in which it was written and filmed. With that in mind I have to say many of the ideas in this film were very progressive. It shows us an America that is very interested in high tech entertainment. It shows us people who use virtual reality (albeit in a different form than what actually developed) to escape real life and to become someone else for a while. Today people do that all the time in the various computerized fantasy game worlds that are on the web. In this film, people have to physically travel to a resort to be immersed in the fantasy worlds, but the concept is the same. This film also shows us an early and accurate concept of a computer virus and the chaos it can create in a society that is dependent on technology, or at least technological safety systems.[/size][/font][/color].

[color=#000000][font=Times New Roman][size=4] The movie wastes no time in getting right into the story and the action. The way it?s put on film, we get our character introductions and background information as we go along with out it requiring a ?slow down? in the plot progression for them. The story it tells is pretty good. The actors do nicely with their parts. Yul Bryner is very good as the relentless gunman, hunting down the human target. He would have made a great lead in [i]The Terminator[/i]. The soundtrack is pretty good and it does help the action along. The special effects are well done. The various scenes of the ?robots? being worked on were achieved with out cheesiness or obvious mess ups. [/size][/font][/color].
