Review of Werckmeister Harmonies (2001) by Davide B — 03 Nov 2007
Werckmeister Harmoniak is poetic and cruel in the same time. Once more time Bela Tarr delights and raptures the spectator with a amazing use of b/w photography and with sublime camera's motion. The story is very evocative and the director plays with many metaphors permitting the spectator to freely read and interpret the story.
Once more time Bela Tarr's antropology is very obscure, disturbing and negative. Great film.
