"We Steal Secrets" is a fascinating portrait into two people, Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning, and one of the biggest controversies in recent memory. The documentary pulls no punches as it shows detailed portraits of the two: Manning as an alone, idealistic Army intelligence officer who, looking for someone to confide in, is crushed and thrown in jail, and Assange as a bold but paranoid man who turns into a hypocrite when confronted by scandal.

Though it's clear to me who wins the title of "hero whistleblower" (Manning), "We Steal Secrets" leaves plenty for audiences to contemplate, and, in the end, make up their minds on.
