Review of We Are Still Here (2015) by Zack B — 25 Dec 2015
We Are Still Here for a lot of people seems to be a movie that people are split on. I'm with that crowd. The special effects, that climax with its glorious gore (and some 80s horror callbacks), and at times how some of these actors deliver.
That is probably all the praise that I'd give. For the first half it's a bit of a slow burn (you may get that joke) and with it there is an amateurish look to some of this. I also am curious about this story.
Some background details on why the supernatural occurs bewilders me. Those problems may be still here, but then again you should have heard how many times I was saying "oh fuck yeah!" during the climax.
