Review of Waterland (1992) by Codie E — 25 Oct 2007
Serious filmmaking from Stephen Gyllenhaal. Irons is very good in the lead role of a film that shifts nicely between a fairly pieceful place in England during the war and Pittsburgh in the seventies. Hawke, Heard and Headey all give good performances too and Robert Elswit's cinematography is as impressive as always.
