This isn't Spielberg best entertainment or family film but at times it delivers some really good bits. Re-teaming with Tom Cruise was a good idea because as the all American dad he fits the bill perfectly.
Cruise has this aura of likeness, he's always likeable in films. The story is based on a classic book is taken here to a level of catastrophe genre of film, the CGI is great, the direction is of course impeccable but somehow the ending was a little too happy in my opinion.
.. but like I said , this is a family entertainment and Spielberg isn't known for making sad cold films... so overall this is a nice piece of entertainment.
