Review of War of the Arrows (2011) by James-Masaki R — 25 Jul 2012
Based around the second Manchu invasion of Korea, at a time when the bow and arrow together was the ultimate weapon, "War of the Arrows" is really Korea's answer to "House of Flying Daggers", but in my opinion, a much better film.
Seriously action packed, yet with an actual story with some very clever parts, the biggest disappointment might be with the ending, which really seems like a ripoff of "Flying Daggers", and also a big problem with "How the hell did that guy get there before him?" But there always must be a few genre cliches.
