Review of War of the Arrows (2011) by George R — 16 Jul 2012
I considered it very entertaining. It had a good story, lots of action and solid actors throughout the entire film. As action films go, I was greatly entertained by the fact that it was not your typical asian action film.
In other words not a lot of over the top martial arts or sword play. My only minor complaint is I think there could have been more dialogue to expand on the film. Other then that, I greatly enjoyed it.
War of the Arrows is another terrific addition to the great movies coming out of Korea of late. As with all foreign films, if you don't speak the language, I highly suggest making sure you watch them in subtitles.
That way you are sure to get the emotions from the characters voices if nothing else, something that dubbing seldom seems to be able to do.
