Review of Wall Street (1987) by Madison N — 02 Nov 2013
I know the movie is cartoonish. And it is not because two of the main character are called Fox and Gekko. The set deco is stylized, and, for someone watching the movie about 15 years after it was shot, the computers are quite garish.
That said, I thought there were parts of "Wall Street" that made it really timeless. After all, it is just a story about a boy who thinks he wants to be everything his father is not, and ends up realizing that he really worships his father.
I find that most viewers can identify with that.
