Review of Wake in Fright (1971) by Chris H — 13 Aug 2009
While the title might suggest a conventional horror film, it has more to do with the sheer terror of living in small town Australia. Never again will the calling out of "Mate!" invoke such a feeling of dread as it does in this film, a recently restored Oz "classic" from the early 1970's.
