Review of Wake in Fright (1971) by Joe S — 04 Apr 2014
Set at such a slow pace and nothing really happens but Kotcheff really knows how to create tension out of nothing. Donald Pleasence is chilling as Doc and Gary Bond is immense as the clean cut school teacher caught up in the madness surrounding the Yabba social life.
Kangeroo scene is hard to watch. That aside a stunning film.
