Review of Wait Until Dark (1967) by Kate H — 02 Jun 2011
Now here we have some old school terror. Three crooks are after a doll stuffed with heroin that has accidentally ended up in the hands of Sam and Suzy Hendrix. Suzy happens to be blind and the crooks play that as best as they can. Then she turns the tables on an absolutely despicable Alan Arkin. The climax made me gasp aloud and I knew it was coming.
No real new ground broken here but it is a great thriller, especially with the situation of Suzy. Also a real testament as to why horror films where you don't see everything are more terrifying. So happy Bravo introduced me to this.
