Review of Wait Until Dark (1967) by Russell G — 23 Jul 2011
A suspenseful and intense thriller that really holds up over time. It seems like a slow start but every piece of this movie is so deliberate it means something in the whole picture and contributes to an exciting conclusion that is well put together with no fat and no lose ends.
The movie is engrossing as the plot brilliantly builds the suspense steadily and then delivers a memorable punch for a strong finish. Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin deliver memorable performances and are at their finest.
A top 200 movie for me.
