Review of W. (2008) by Nickie L — 18 Jul 2009
Not an out and out satire and certainly not a poltical drama, but somewhere inbetween. Attempted to show Bush in a somewhat sympathetic and lighthearted way. With his past and what drove the former President.
Covered aspects of his life growing up and his relationship with his dad and brother. Missed the opportunity comment on his election to President against Gore. Observations on oil and Iraq and the Afghan theatre of war was as casual as shocking when thought about.
The Hawks in the White House were also there to be seen. Great supporting cast, if a bit on the long side. Worth a look though.
