Review of W. (2008) by Michael P — 03 Apr 2010
A purely bias film from a liberal filmmaker in Oliver Stone (who's films I like in general). It a caricature at best. I am sure that was a part of his intention. He constantly takes shot at Bush, his policies, Reagan, Bush Sr. and the father son relationship. It takes so many liberties and distorts facts. Not to mention it states things that are just flat out wrong and untrue. It is so clearly a left wing film and a look at how bad and stupid Bush was. It almost as if the screenwriter took the cliff notes of Bush's life put a liberal slant on it and then took liberties in interpreting things we don't know about and called it a script.
For what its worth the casting was good and the performances by Brolin, Banks, good. Most were fine. Thandie Newton was just horrible.
