Review of W. (2008) by Johnny T — 04 Apr 2010
As someone who loathes GW Bush it was interesting to see Josh Brolin portray him in a way which reinforces some of the worst of his character traits whilst somehow making him a character you have some sympathy with.
It's not a traditional biopic, more a series of scenes from W's adult life mixed in with the mismanagement of the Iraq situation.
I don't consider it a comedy, and in some ways this film exposes the myth of meritocracy and democracy but it was illuminating still.
