Review of W. (2008) by Matt B — 08 Jun 2015
I love W. It's definitely an underrated Oliver Stone movie. We all expected the iconoclastic director to take a huge sh*t on George W. Bush in the film. Instead he creates a powerful, perceptive father/son drama. Bush may be ignorant, but as the movie shows it, everything he did he did to win the support of his father. That's all.
Stone magnifies political culture and gives us intelligent, fast-paced dialogue in W. Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Banks, James Cromwell, and the rest of the cast are absolutely superb.
