Review of Voodoo Moon (2006) by Krista B — 14 Apr 2009
For a low-budget venture, Voodoo Moon has quite a bit going for it. First off, it has a great cast including Jeffrey Combs, Dee Wallace and Charisma Carpenter. Secondly, it really does have a fun concept behind it: a pair of siblings work together to take vengeance on the demon that destroyed their hometown.
Unfortunately, Voodoo Moon is sinfully slow, and does absolutely nothing to hold your attention while it plods from plot point to plot point. By the time the movie recovers at the climax, it's already too late.
The dead space in the middle has simply killed the film. Overall, it's not a complete waste of time, but there's definitely better movies out there similar to this one.
