Review of Volunteers (1986) by Gareth J — 18 Jan 2010
This is a fun quirky comedy. It stars Tom Hanks and John Candy. They both have great comedy chemistry in this. Hanks plays a playboy who gets on a plane with the Peace Corp and somehow gets in charge of building a bridge in a small town in Asia.
Of course the local drug lord wants the bridge destroyed. The story is simple and fun. Tom is funny in this. But John Candy made me laugh the most in this. Just a fun goofy movie to pass the time away.
Worth a watch.
