Review of Viva Las Vegas (1964) by Jami L — 26 Nov 2008
Viva Las Vegas was on TCM last night. There is something magical about Elvis and Anna-Margaret.
The songs are classic and the dancing is plain fun. "Appreciation " is one of my all time Ann-Margaret favorites.
I love the whole remake of Ray Charles " What I Say". The scene is classic and later ripped right out of Viva Las Vegas, and thrown into Tommyboy! (Way to be original Peter Segal!).
Sure the plot needs work, and all the racing scenes are so cheesy you feel like you're licking the inside of a fondue pot, but you can't help but love Lucky and Rusty!
