Review of Virunga (2014) by Jon R — 29 Jan 2016
Not at the level of a full-blown "tear-jerker," thus will never-the-less tug at tour heart strings as you're drawn into the world in the eyes of Congolese park rangers fighting to defend their national park from a subversive oil company and warring groups in Congo.
The cinematography is sharp, and the shots of wildlife and scenery are often absolutely breath-taking. The lives of the rangers in Virunga is inspiring.
