Review of Virunga (2014) by Nina L — 27 Nov 2016
I enjoyed watching this movie and going through the journey of protecting the national park and gorillas, because it shows the audience that certain parts of the world deal with different environment problems but they are just as important.
It also saddens me to know that there are people who dont have to heart to care about these places that mean so much to people who live nearby. The people in village were very affected by the war and they shouldnt have been, but because M23 thinks their opinion matters more, (and 'business is business') they took over and attacked the national park.
Besides that, I also gained a respect for the fact that at the end of the movie they stated that life goes on and I appreciated their attitude even though people and animals died during the movie. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is interested in the wildlife in Africa, as well as the culture and environmental companies.
