What a great film to come across by pure chance. Very well done, not over the top, and not to the point where its transgressive value aims to surpass its artistic value, as often happens with gay/transgen films.
No, this is a very good comedy from the time when many comedies were good and above that, it's withstood the test of more than a quarter of century of time - not something that's easy to accomplish in general, and not something we can expect from any mainstream films produced these days.
