This movie is stupid and bad. Danielle Radcliffe has played a few WTF roles since moving on from Harry Potter and I think he might hope that this movie might be allowed to stay "Dead and buried" and not be bought back to life.
Just maybe that was the unintentioned message to the viewer- that some things are worse than death - like this film!
