I definitely enjoyed this irreverent highlight reel of Cheney's life and career more than most it appears. The acting is great all around for me but Bale's complete metamorphosis into Cheney makes me instantly compare this performance to Gary Oldman's Churchill, which took home the Oscar last year. Most will likely recognize this as another McKay film as he employs many of the same narrative asides, to aid in background or just provide a few laughs, that he did in The Big Short.
