Review of Vexille (2007) by Michael O — 08 May 2008
A CGI movie from Japan and it's bloody brilliant! Fantastic animation, fantastic visuals, fantastic story. This is on par with anything Pixar would ever release. So, if you are bored with all these CGI movies that are with animals, go an watch Vexille. This film is well ahead of it's time.
There are elements of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, AppleSeed and Dune in this movie, but there is enough going on to keep you interested.
If you are a Manga or Anime fan, then this movie is right up your alley.
The soundtrack is extremely well done; it was scored and mixed by Paul Oakenfold.
