Review of Vexille (2007) by Phil S — 28 Feb 2009
Looks great! Much improved over the CG/Anime Appleseed from a while back, everything blends together really well this time, loads of detail and some cool designs.... But.... its's just... a bit boring, the whole plot feels ridiculously un-filled out and really unlikely.
... Especially so in the giant spinning junk worm things, no real explanation for their presence, and a really crappy 'last minute' looking idea, no one seems to bat an eyelid that they even exist.
The language choice of americans and japanese all speaking japanese seems odd, but no weirder than us dubbing asian movies I guess. Strange it was named Vexille, as her character is really...just there.
. not very interesting at all. But still, like I said it looks great....
