As a marshmallow, I tried to keep my expectations reasonable. I am happy to say I needn't have. It was everything I'd hoped for & my wife ( who turned me on to VM) & I got to enjoy it together.
Considering how much ground it had to cover, Rob Thomas clearly couldn't spend as much time on dialogue as we all wished, but nonetheless, it had some snappy VM dialogue moments we love, it brought Veronica back home & it covered what would have been a season's worth of character development in a two hour movie.
I think we can all agree that the movie needed more Dick, but there was enough to satisfy Dick devotees. I left not just satisfied, but thrilled. VM is back! Here's hoping it goes through the roof and the gang has options to decide their own creative future.
Five of five stars...not given lightly. I do wonder if it works for non-marshmallows, but I selfishly don't care! VM is back as good as ever. Hooray!
